The objective of this Code, is to protect and to promote the health and security of people who work or visit a work place. To achieve this objective, the Code provides designed administration systems that brings multidisciplinary methods to: identify the possible risks, implement safe practices, improve the health of the workers and promote the communications in subjects such as health and security.

The implementation of this Code presents the following requirements:

• Commitment in all the management line levels, to protect and promote the security of people who work at or visit the facilities.
  
  
• The workers' participation in the development, implementation and revision of the subjects of health and security.
  
  
• Criteria to verify if the contractor's programs who work in the unit are consistent with the code practices.
  
  
• Health and security procedures written and update.
  
  
• Methods to verify that the health and security procedures are effective; that the current practices are consistent with those procedures; and if both are applied and achieved appropriately.
  
  
• Registers that allow to evaluate the performance in health and security, in order to set trends and to identify improvement areas.
