This Code is designed to reduce the quantity of liberated pollutants to the atmosphere, earth and aquatic environment, as well as to minimize the total quantity of this residuals generated by the industrial process.

The Environmental Pollution Prevention Code requires that the facilities:

• Elaborate a residuals inventory of they generate and the discharged volumes in earth, water and air. Also,  asks to evaluate those impact on workers, community and Environment.

• Take into account the workers and community opinion when developing and implement continuous pollutants reductions plans.

• Decrease, as much as it is possible the residuals generation in their sources, before considering recycling or treatment programs, according to the effective normative.

• Include Pollution Prevention practical when designing or modify processes and products .

• Promote and support residuals reduction initiatives.
