In the diverse countries of the world, the chemical industry and its products contribute to improve the conditions of the human's life and the development of the countries.

Current life would be unthinkable we wouldn´t have the diversity of domestic and industrial chemical products we use daily, like Sodium Hypochlorite and Caustic Soda, among others.

Besides, the industrial chemical products , participate as fundamental raw material in the most important productive sectors of the international context. In the case of Chile, the chemical area represents an important number of employments with a significant contribution to the GNP (Gross National Product) of the country.

However, the industrial chemistry activity has risks. But its potential reaches it is many times overmanning in comparison with the daily contribution that our sector undertake for the country development.

Public opinion ignores the methods that we use to manufacture, store and transport our products. This ignorance becomes extensive to the methods we us to handle the industrial residuals we generate.

A poor information will mean , sooner or later, negative consequences such as: a limit in the expansions, eradication or closure, pressure for the promulgation of very demanding norms and a deteriorated image.

To solve this situation, it is necessary to maintain a flowing dialogue with the authorities and inform to the community about our work. But that initiative only will be successful, if industrial companies can make a believable image, through the adoption and application of permanent ethical principles. The Responsible Care ethics, constitutes our best tool to get concrete and lasting results.

The adoption and application of this ethics will guarantee people, Environment and assets protection, in the chemical industry operations.
